Welcome to the John Bullar Ophthalmological Society website.

The John Bullar Ophthalmological Society is based at the University Of Southampton, UK. Under patronage of HM Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire Dame Mary Fagan and Professor Andrew Lotery, Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Southampton, the society aims to foster an environment wherein medical students and junior doctors interested in a career in ophthalmology can actively pursue their goal. Moreover, the society endeavours to educate the general medical population in the area of ophthalmology given its wide multidisciplinary relevance.

Our chosen charity is the Gift of Sight Appeal: www.giftofsight.org.ukProfessor Andrew Lotery, Patron of the society, is the Director of Research at the Gift of Sight.

Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Royal College of Ophthalmologists Support 

The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh have expressed high praises for the society's endeavours and have elected to endorse and contribute towards the Inaugural Conference.

This follows support from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in an advertising arrangement via their Events and Meetings webpage. The John Bullar Ophthalmological Society thanks both Royal Colleges for their invaluable support.
